"Tootsie" is a 1982 American comedy- drama directed by Sydney Pollack, starring Dustin Hoffman. The film follows Michael Dorsey, a talented but  delicate actor  floundering to find work due to his character for being too demanding. hopeless for a job, he disguises himself as a woman named Dorothy Michaels and interrogations for a  part on a day cleaner  pieces, Southwest General. Unexpectedly, he lands the part and becomes an instant  TV sensation. 
 
 As Dorothy, Michael gains new perspectives on gender dynamics, plant  importunity, and  womanish  commission. His alter pride becomes a feminist icon,  championing for fair treatment and respect. still,  effects come complicated when he develops  passions for hisco-star, Julie Nichols, who sees Dorothy as a  probative friend. Meanwhile, Julie’s father, Les, falls for Dorothy, and Michael’s stylish friend, Jeff, struggles to understand his  unforeseen  secretiveness. 
 
 The situation spirals further when Ron, the show's sexist director, tries to pursue Dorothy romantically. ultimately, the deception becomes too  important, leading to an indelible live  TV moment where Michael dramatically removes his  toupee and reveals his true identity.

Ron Carlisle( Dabney Coleman) – The sexist director of Southwest General, who tries to manipulate and  betray Dorothy.  

 

George Fields( Sydney Pollack) – Michael’s  irritated agent, who  originally refuses to work with him due to his character. 

 

 

 

3. Conclusion 

 

 

The climax of Tootsie takes place during a live broadcast when Michael,  unfit to keep up the  facade  any longer, removes his  toupee and makeup, revealing his true identity. The shocking disclosure stuns everyone, but Julie, deeply hurt by the deception, walks down. 
After some time, Michael approaches Julie in real life and admits that while he deceived her as Dorothy, his  passions for her were always real. Julie, still  worried, responds with a  blend of frustration and  moping affection. The film ends on an nebulous but hopeful note, suggesting that Michael and Julie might be  suitable to start a genuine relationship now that the  verity is out.
